Particularly in bad weather conditions manoeuvring, parking or reversing is often difficult. The ultra sound sensors of the modern parking systems send and receive acoustic signals. Control units calculate the distance to the obstacle, a design speaker warns visually and acoustically of the hazard. The volume of the system can be regulated via DIP switch, as is the stopping line of 30 to 50 cm. Further, it is possible to let it learn obstructing tow bars and spare wheels. And as one can overlook things at the front as well, even though the sight might be unobstructed, the front offers itself for sensors too. These can be quickly retro-fitted and can even be combined with a video parking system.
